Volunteer Award Nominations Now Open!

We are excited to announce that nominations for the 2025-26 Volunteer Awards are now open!

This is your chance to recognize the incredible individuals who make a difference in the MDRA community through their selfless volunteer efforts.

Let’s celebrate the outstanding volunteers who help create a positive impact in MDRA! We encourage you to submit a nomination and share the inspiring stories of those who go above and beyond to make a difference. Awards will be presented at the MDRA banquet.

Irene Corkill Spirit Award

The Irene Corkill Award goes to a U19 or U16 player who has demonstrated their commitment to the sport by giving back to the association.

Thompson Cup

The Thompson Cup is awarded to any volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to the association during one or more seasons.

Jim Meloy (Coach of the Year) Award

The Jim Meloy Award goes to a coach who presents a positive role model for coaching and demonstrates concern for the all around development of the players to develop confidence, self-discipline and respect.
